With recent discussions on other boards, I'd figure its worth the time.
1. The Munson thread on CU. About the Munson RC graded SGC 9. Some dude cracks it out in hopes to cross it over to PSA and perhaps increase the grade or value. In return, He jennies the board into waiting to finally re-appear with a no min size. So, behold he sends it back to SGC. What will SGC do???
2. The DiMaggio thread on Net54. It about the rare rookie card. Has it been altered or restored is in question. With over 240 replies and over 14,000 views its definitely taking a look at. The question is should there be disclosure and what defines it. It bumped from a PSA 4 to a PSA 7 as well.

Ok, those are 2 topics noteworthy of discussions. Lets here your takes and any notable crossovers you have done.

On the first question about the Munson. I think SGC will re-evaluate the card but the likelyhood of it recieved an SGC 96 mint again could be quite slim. Can depend as well on when the card was intially graded by SGC. Earlier SGC slabs have to go through a review to get re-holdered.

Topic 2...... a bump from a PSA 4 to a PSA 7 is quite a jump. I can see how it could have been a PSA 6OC with sharp corners etc just didn't meet the centering specs but to jump up to a NM PSA 7 would be a "whooper" of a move. I will have to take a look at the thread over on Net54 and check it out. I would think, and its my opinion only that if it was altered then they would catch that........unless they are starting the wigwam again....

Munson RC-- Well results..PSA did not grade it, so he sent it back to SGC!!!!!
Maybe comes back a 9??? or will SGC catch wind and wont grade or grade it lower?

BIG BREAKING NEWS!!!!
on the DiMaggio alteration. (check it out on Net54)
SHITZ HITS THE FAN-- LAWYERS & POPCORN!!!!!!

As I understand it, so it's clear.
1. Brent won the REA auction for the SGC 50.
2. Brent submitted the card to PSA after it was (your choice of verb) and received a 7.
3. Brent sold the PSA 7 privately to Cortney for 75K.[color:#FF0000][/color]
4. Cortney consigned to Goldin.
5. John Perez won the Goldin auction.
6. Perez consigned to PWCC.
7. PWCC sold to unidentified winner

NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR BRENT

Concerning the DiMaggio cards, those look like 2 totally different cards to me. The one on the left looks like it has been printed on a different kind of paper. Did I miss something, are these supposed to be the same card? I know Joe D had some smaller cards. 1941 Play Ball comes to mind right away.

Yeah, they are the SAME card.
And the SHITZ getting deeper with Brent & PWCC.

Sorry, by reading all the posts, I'm still confused on what's going on and the sequence of events.

Brent/Pwcc obtained it as a sgc50/4.
During this time it gets concerning****
Brent/Pwcc has a private sale to Courtney (but this time its a PSA 7)
Then others consingments/sales happen afterwards.

The **question is "full discoslure" was not given about the clean-up of the card.
Apprently Courntey did not do 'due diligence on a 50-75k card.
It did not even get caught after the Goldin auction.
It only did recently with the PWCC auction by our N54 members, which didn't take 5 minutes to see.

Other headlines:
Courtney posting phone text on Pwcc about shilling and bidding practices on the card (in Courtney attempt to win card, which someone else own at the time)

This is on going debate that has been around for quite some time. How can a card be altered if it has been returned to its original condition? There is a company "Gone with the Stain" that has been in business for at least 15 years and they have a continuous stream of cards that come their way.
